Larrie Rodriguez, LMT, is the owner of Midtown Massage & Bodywork specializing in thai bodywork, therapeutic, deep tissue and sports massage. In 2012, she was awarded Memphis’ “favorite massage therapist” by Natural Awakenings Magazine and most recently, her studio was voted as one of the best places to get a massage by Memphis Health + Fitness Magazine.
Larrie graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and after working as a teacher and then holding a high-stress government job years, decided to become a massage therapist. She found that stress was affecting her health, both physically and mentally and realized that she needed to make a change. Her passion for helping people and taking care of her own body led her in the right direction. Larrie graduated from The Massage Institute of Memphis and has since received over 200 Thai training hours. She most recently trained in Thailand with Master Pichest Boonthumme, one of the most well-known masters of Thai massage.
Larrie gives back to her community by volunteering her massage talents for various organizations to include the Memphis Gay and Lesbian Community Center, Project Green Fork, Choices, St. Jude and the Orpheum.
