Youth Villages 5K Massage Event

Memphis Massage Professionals is pleased to announce that we will be offering volunteer chair massage services to the Youth Villages 5K race participants on April 20th, 2013. The event will begin at approximately 8:30am at 1000 Ridgway Loop. This will be a great opportunity to promote your massage practice and network with other therapists and volunteers.

Youth Villages is a private, non-profit organization that helps troubled children and their families through residential treatment, group homes, emergency shelters, in-home counseling, foster care and adoption. The programs are varied so that Youth Villages can offer the most effective help for each child, regardless of his or her background, diagnosis or situation.

As always, proceeds from this year’s event will go towards three programs very important to the development of the children served at Youth Villages. The programs are transitional living, which works with young people aging out of foster care;mentoring, which puts a caring adult in the life of a troubled youth; and spiritual life, a nondenominational program for kids in treatment at a residential facility.

To volunteer massage services at this event, please email your name, email address, and telephone number to The lead therapist for this event is Katie Niemann. Katie will be helping everyone set up and stay organized on the day of the event. If you plan to attend, please go ahead and save the date on your calendar, send your contact information, and await our prompt response with further details. We look forward to seeing you at the event and we thank you for helping us GIVE BACK to our community through massage!
